The Homecoming Powder Puff games were intense this year. The senior girls dominated with the help of some creative coaching and incredible trick plays, beating the juniors 14-2. The boys volleyball game was a nail biter to the very end, but the seniors came away with the win, beating the juniors 25-23.

Save the date for a very informative session coming up on October 30! Financial Aid 101 will cover lots of great information about the financial aid process presented by Alyssa Gillette, the Director of Financial Aid at Crown College.

Last week, students at Central Secondary School got a visit from Chef Tony from Taher, who made a special meal of green chili pork for the students. There were decorations and mariachi music playing and there were even sombreros for students who received a lucky tray with a dot on the bottom. What a great time!

Let’s check out some more of the amazing artwork from last week’s artists of the week! For this drawing project, high school students explored graffiti art by designing their names in expressive lettering after learning about Minnesota artist Peyton Scott Russell, known for his influence in the graffiti and street art scene. Once their names were outlined, students filled in the background with visuals representing the elements of art—line, shape, color, texture, space, and form to enhance their compositions!
