Mr. Erickson's Middle school science classes have been very busy over in the first few months of school.
Recently students were drag racing balloons across the room to make a real-world connection to Newton's Third Law of Motion.
Currently, Students have started a mini-unit on Buoyancy. This mini-unit will culminate in students grouping up to form companies complete with company name, logo and slogan, then each company is going to build a "yacht" that not only floats but is capable of holding as many passengers (pennies) as possible.
This is a competition that will have the winning team earning a multi-million dollar contract to build yachts exclusively for C.E.O Erickson of Erickson Enterprises.
