Each month the Central Elementary PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) chooses a character trait focus on and to recognize students who excel in that trait. The month of May brought the Sunflower Project to local residents of Peace Village and the Harbor. The sunflower project was a Pay It Forward Project where students in EACH classroom/grade level made a different sunflower project for the residents, bringing them a bit of happiness and sunshine.
While students were no able to hand deliver their projects to the residents; when Mrs. Thor delivered, she took some wonderful photos to share with the kids and teachers.
