preK earth day

In celebration of Earth Day, students at Central Public Preschool engaged in a variety of outdoor activities aimed at fostering environmental awareness and appreciation. Under the guidance of their teacher, Ms. Poppler, the young learners embarked on a journey to the local park, where they participated in eco-friendly endeavors and enjoyed a special Earth Day snack.

One of the highlights of the day was the children's initiative to create Earth Day rocks, which they meticulously decorated with colorful designs. These rocks served a dual purpose: to spread joy to those who discover them and to convey messages of environmental stewardship.

After crafting their Earth Day rocks, the students embarked on a spirited expedition to the park, where they eagerly hid their creations among the natural landscape. This activity not only encouraged creativity and exploration but also instilled a sense of responsibility for caring for the environment.

In addition to the rock-hiding adventure, the preschoolers took part in a collective effort to clean up litter and debris from the park grounds. They enthusiastically worked together to restore the natural beauty of their surroundings, embodying the spirit of Earth Day through hands-on action.

Upon completing their outdoor activities, the students returned to the classroom for a well-deserved Earth Day snack: dirt pudding. This whimsical treat is made from chocolate pudding and cookie crumbs.

Through their participation in these activities, the young learners at Central Public Preschool gained valuable insights into the significance of Earth Day and the importance of preserving the planet for future generations.
