prom

Central High School held its annual PROM with the 22-23 theme “Island Oasis” on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

After months of preparation, students were transported to an Island Oasis thanks to the hard work and dedication of Kelly Street and Taylor Gort (CHS Prom Coordinators).  “We’ve never had a prom this early”, stated Kelly Street, “It was a challenge to get it done this year, but I am so happy with how everything turned out and I think the kids had an amazing time”

Central would also like to extend a HUGE thank you to the City of NYA, On-Point Nutrition, and the City of Hamburg for opening their doors so our students had a place to gather and take photos.

The event started with a student-organized Car Cruise at 4:30 pm.  Following the cruise, students came back to CHS to take photos at the many photo stations set up.  Grand March was open for public attendance and began at 6:00 pm.

After the Grand march; students were seated for a mouthwatering dinner of Chicken Cordon Bleu, Pork Loin Roast, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, 4-Cheese Rotini, Green Beans, Garden Salad, and Dinner Rolls catered by Chef Craig.

After the tables were cleared, it was time to break out the dancing shoes!  Students had a blast dancing the night away!

The Post Prom lock-in began promptly at 11:30 PM.  Students played games to win "cash" and used said cash to buy tickets to put into buckets for prizes.  The post-prom committee, which is made up of parent volunteers, always does an outstanding job of organizing a great night for kids and purchases GREAT prizes as well. EVERY student attendee (whether a guest or a central Junior or Senior student) walked away with 1 prize!

THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this day possible!
