Summer Family Support Services

Central School Family’s:

As the school year closes and the incredible efforts by staff providing educational and social emotional support ends, the Carver County School Linked Behavioral Health Services team
would like to extend support to students and families through the summer months. The challenges of staying close to home, social distancing and the closure or limitations of traditional summer programs are challenging for families. We want to take this time to inform you of a service that might be helpful as you navigate through the coming months of summer.

Carver County School Linked Behavioral Health Services, through a grant provided by the Minnesota Department of Health Services, is offering family support services to help you cope with emotional/social and behavioral issues that may be challenging your home life.

These services are open to all Carver county residents with school age children and/ or children who attend Carver County Schools. A trained mental health professional will be available to connect with you and answer questions and help you navigate what might be helpful for you and your family.

The services provided are through a telehealth platform, which may be a simple phone call or a video/audio meeting, depending on your comfort level and available equipment. Initial
contact, support and guidance is free. Family’s requesting ongoing services will need to set up appointment times and we will utilize insurance when possible to help support the services. We will work with you regarding your needs and resources. The overall goal is to provide support to family’s through the upcoming summer months.

We are in this together.
To speak with a Mental Health Staff about your needs, contact First Street Center at 952-442-4437, they will connect you with the appropriate school-based staff.
